What does TOG mean?

TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) is a simple measure of how warm a blanket is. The higher the number, the warmer it keeps your baby. Use it to match the blanket to the room your little one sleeps in.

Feel your baby’s chest or the back of the neck: it should feel warm, not hot or sweaty. Never cover your baby’s face or head.

This is the room temperature the blanket is made for. Within this range it keeps your baby comfortable without overheating. A simple room thermometer in the nursery makes it easy to choose.

A light, airy four-layer muslin blanket in our Whale Tide theme: whales, dolphins, orcas and rays gliding across a soft cream ground, framed by a wide cream border. The reverse is a calm, plain cream.

  • Light, breathable and silky: four layers of muslin in a soft blend of viscose (from bamboo) and cotton, silky smooth against the skin and airy enough for the warmest days.
  • Our lightest blanket: 0.25 TOG, best in rooms 26°C and above.

Safe use

Under 2 years, use it for supervised play and awake time only, and keep it out of the cot. From 2 years it makes a light bed blanket. Never drape it over a pram.
